The name of the house speaks volumes - House of the Golden Sunset. Once you've experienced the sunset here, you'll want to come back again and again.

The beauty of Lake Maggiore and in particular the charming location of the house are impossible to resist. Situated on one of the most beautiful vantage points on Lake Maggiore, the view is fantastic. The flat offers space for 2 people (possibly with a small child). 
If required, the upper flat can also be rented. This offers space for 6 people. So if you would like to rent the whole house for 8 people, please contact us.

Location
The house is in a very quiet yet central location. The centre of Cannero Riviera is approx. 2km away. The promenade and the beach are approx. 2.5km away. The nearest shopping centre is in Trarego, approx. 2km away. The bus stop is 500m from the house. There are hiking, jogging and biking trails directly from the house. You can take the boat from Cannero to Luino or Cannobio.

Special features
The house is characterised by its quiet and charming location. The 3000 m² garden stretches around the house. An ornate stone staircase, surrounded by flowering plants and large palm trees, leads to the lower flat.

Leisure activities
There are countless opportunities for sporting activities. The beautiful beach in Cannero itself is ideal for swimming. Pedal boats, rowing boats and canoes can also be hired there. Cannero also has a tennis court, a football pitch and a small harbour for sailing boats. Of course, water sports are very popular on Lake Maggiore. In addition to swimming, rowing and sailing, you can also go surfing. Above Cannero there are numerous paths for hiking, jogging and cycling. The paths are rarely used, but are still well marked and have a few metres of elevation gain. Skiing fans can head to Pian di Sole in winter or a little further afield to the Monte Rosa area or Piancavallo. Paragliders and hang-gliders take off from the mountain station near Laveno. The nearest golf course is in Ascona.

How to get there
Coming from Switzerland, drive through the Gotthard tunnel in the direction of Lake Maggiore. Via Locarno you pass Cannobio before reaching Cannero. Continue straight on until you reach the first junction in the centre of Cannero. On the left is the Marlis Zanetti estate agency (house painted blue). Turn right up the road. Follow the winding and sometimes narrow road (please drive carefully!). After 7-8 sharp bends you will come to a bus stop on the right. Turn left at this bus stop (please take the car a long way round as there is a pothole). Follow Via Panoramica until you reach number 18. You can park in front of the large white garage door
